Visit the Accademia Gallery with a professional guide!

Have you ever wondered why the Michelangelo's David is so famous? What makes it so special? Why his hands are oversized or why is he naked?
Well, a good presentation will answer all your questions: join a guided tour!

What you will feel standing in front of David is indeed very personal but to really understand how extraordinary it is you need someone pointing you out a series of fundamental details.
The guide will share with you all we know about it: from the marble block's history to the polishing techniques.
Before that, looking at the unfinished works (the four Slaves and the Pietà) you will realize how important is to try to understand a little bit the Michelangelo's philosophy, his pessimism and inner torment.

David is so familiar, we can see reproductions and pictures everywhere but to see it in person... listening to a guide's commentary... well, it's totally different! After this tour, you will never look at a marble statue in the same way.
